Wednesday 17th September 2014 Boughton House and Estate, Northamptonshire
A private visit to Boughton which has been described as ‘at once palace, manor house, and village’. The house, which contains a fine art collection, is set in an early 18th century designed landscape and is surrounded by the estate villages. We will have a guided tour of the house, and, in our coach, of the estate villages.

Tuesday 25th November and Wednesday 3rd December, 2014 – A Walking Tour of three prestigious Oxford College Libraries with Alastair Lack.
This walking tour will visit the Old Libraries of St. Edmund Hall and Merton College. Our final visit will be to the library of Christ Church College followed by a cream tea in the beautiful Dining Hall.

Tuesday 27th January 2015 – Ashmolean Museum Japanese Art and a visit to the Conservation Department
An opportunity to see some of the museum’s collection of Japanese Prints in the company of Clare Pollard, Curator of Japanese Art. We will also visit the Conservation Department. The visit coincides with the exhibition of Hiroshige Landscape Prints being held in the Ashmolean’s Eastern Art Gallery.

Wednesday 25th March 2015 – Two Museums in Bath.
In the morning we will visit the American Museum for a guided tour of the late-17th to mid-19th century Period Rooms and some time to explore the galleries and exhibitions. The afternoon will be spent at No 1 Royal Crescent, the first house of John Wood’s iconic Georgian terrace. Recently reunited with No 1A, its original servants’ wing, the museum vividly recreates fashionable life in Georgian Bath.

Thursday May 7th 2015 – The Wormsley Library, Stokenchurch
A private visit to this collection created by Sir Paul Getty.  The theme of the collection is ‘The Art of the Book;’ as expressed through printing, illustration, illumination, calligraphy and, in particular, bookbinding.

June 2nd to 7th 2015 –  Visit to Bologna  –   already fully booked

Wednesday 15th July 2015  Visit to Greenwich Museum
This visit to Greenwich will include a guided tour of a current exhibition -either at The National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House or the Royal Observatory. It should also be possible to visit the Cutty Sark and/or the Royal Naval College.   By coach from Oxford and boat from Westminster.

Tuesday 15th September 2015 – Rennie Mackintosh House & Northampton Shoe Museum
78, Derngate, Northampton was remodelled, in his iconic Modernist style during 1916/17, by the great Glasgow designer and architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We will have a guided tour of the restored building, which was Rennie Mackintosh’s last commission and the only house he designed in England. In the afternoon we will visit the nearby Northampton Shoe Museum, which has the largest collection of shoe heritage in the world.
