At TASO we have a wide range of guided events planned in 2026-2027, including local walks in Oxford and visits further afield. We will add to the calendar below as events are scheduled and details confirmed.
If you would like more information or would like to send ideas and suggestions for future walks and visits, do email us at tasovisits@gmail.com.
Please note that Visits Team events operate differently from lectures. They are almost always ticketed, have a limited number of places and are usually in high demand. For this reason, tickets are allocated in stages. Visits are initially offered to members only. If places remain, they are then offered to people on that visit’s waiting list. Any remaining places are subsequently made available to non-members. Guided walks are different: they are exclusively for members and do not have a waiting list. When tickets for visits or walks go on sale, you can book yours by pressing on “click here” in the relevant entry in the calendar or in the detailed information below.

Thursday 3rd December, visit (coach), leave Oxford from 08:45 (multiple pick-up points); depart Neasden 15:30, back around 5pm. Guided visit of the temple, plus viewing of the traditional arti ceremony, a daily form of prayer and celebration often called the ‘ceremony of light’. Optional buffet lunch at 1pm for £15.99, excluding drinks, to be paid separately on the day. We recommend that all visitors sign up for the buffet, as no food or drink is allowed in the temple complex.
Please note that strict rules apply to the temple visit. Please do not book if you feel that any of the following will pose a problem for you:
- separate seating for men and women for the ceremony
- strict dress code – tops must cover the shoulders, chest, navel, and upper arms, leg wear must be below knee length (trousers or at least mid-calf-length skirts for women)
- removal of shoes in the temple complex
- no bags greater than palm-size within the temple complex itself: all bags must be left on the coach or in lockers provided by the temple
- no photography inside the temple (photos are allowed of the exterior)

Glyndebourne and Sussex
Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th October 2026 – an organised trip to Brighton, Charleston and to see Le nozze di Figaro at Glyndebourne. NB This trip is SOLD OUT.
The itinerary in brief:
- Leaving Oxford by coach on Monday morning, we will stop at Standen House, the Arts & Crafts house designed by Philip Webb, with interiors by Morris. After lunch there [not included] we travel on to Eastbourne, where we will stay in the 4* Hydrohotel for the next two nights. Dinner in the evening is included.
- On Tuesday morning we visit Brighton for a guided tour, including the Royal Pavilion, before we travel on to Glyndebourne for the 4pm performance of The Marriage of Figaro. After the performance we will have a two-course dinner at one of the restaurants there.
- On Wednesday morning we will visit the Towner Gallery, with its collection of works by Ravilious and other modern artists, and then go on to Charleston, the former home of Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and others. We get back to Oxford late afternoon/early evening.
Once the booking forms are sent to them, all further arrangements will be handled by Tailored Travel, a tour company that we have used before, notably for our successful trip to Sicily.

Best wishes
